Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Firewall Engineer to support a DoS DT program, providing Tier 2 monitoring, configuration, and support for firewall infrastructure across DoS perimeter security. Hybrid position based in Beltsville, MD with on-site requirements and defined shifts.

The role includes implementing firewall rules, troubleshooting devices, sustaining SOPs, and coordinating with cross-agency teams. Requires US citizenship and interim secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• BA degree and 2–4 years IT experience.
• Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewall and Panorama.
• 3–5 years IT customer support (Tier I/II).

Responsibilities

• Monitor FWOPS incidents and requests in Service Now.
• Implement firewall rules and troubleshoot Palo Alto, FortiGate, ESA, and related devices.
• Escalate issues to Tier 3 and maintain SOPs and logs.
• Update architecture diagrams and publish outage notices.
