Job summary

Webster Financial Corporation seeks a Financial Analytics Manager to lead CECL-related data workflows and model development. You will bridge business needs with data-driven insights, collaborating with IT, Data Team, and LoB partners to deliver scalable analytical solutions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in data analytics or related field, strong Python/SAS skills, experience with RDMS like Oracle/SQL, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable models and reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Software Development or related field.
• Experience with complex data structures in an RDMS (Oracle, SQL).
• Proficient in Python/SAS programming language.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts and experience with applications.
• Experience in building, validating and deploying statistical or predictive models.
• Strong business knowledge and familiarity with financial data systems and architecture.
• Ability to interpret and translate business needs into analytical frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop expert knowledge of Webster’s data systems and tools.
• Build relationships with lines of business and partners to ensure process consistency and impact on FA models.
• Execute and support Dual Risk Rating model building, monitoring and model refresh.
• Analyze large structured and unstructured data to derive insights for decision making.
• Document and communicate data structure changes; assist in coding/testing of model changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and implement solutions.
• Work with external data sources and APIs.
