Job summary

Kleinfelder in Hamilton, NJ is seeking an Environmental Remediation Scientist/Geologist to evaluate data, write technical reports, and support field activities for major clients across New Jersey. The hybrid role requires in-person presence at least two days per week.

The position emphasizes soil/groundwater sampling, regulatory reporting, QA/QC, and collaboration with staff and clients, with growth opportunities in environmental planning and remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or related discipline.
• 4-8 years of environmental work experience.
• Soil and/or groundwater sampling experience.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to prepare regulatory reports.
• Experience with contaminants including chlorinated compounds, petroleum, PCBs, PFAS, and metals.
• QA/QC experience and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee field activities related to soil and/or groundwater remedial investigations.
• Prepare technical documents including reports and site evaluation documents.
• Prepare regulatory reports such as Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports.
• Analyze and enter environmental data.
• Communicate with staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ensure quality execution of tasks assigned.
• Maintain laboratory samples and field equipment management.
• Manage subcontractors performing environmental sampling or construction activities.
• Participate in the company's safety culture.
