Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. The role supports scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for projects, acting as a trusted business partner to project managers and teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree with entry-level project management knowledge and experience with Primavera and EcoSys. This position is hybrid in the United States with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Entry level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills and an ability to work well in fast paced environments requiring daily shifting of priorities.
• Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with varying levels of staff, as well as vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures such as federal/government regulations and gathers project progress information to update and monitor schedules and baselines.
• Under direct supervision, develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for portions of routine projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and drafts client and internal status reports to communicate cost status.
