Job summary

JB&B, now part of Trinity’s Built Environment division, seeks entry-level engineers to join our NY office in HVAC and Plumbing & Fire Protection. This is a unique chance to launch your engineering career with a firm known for innovation, mentorship, and technical excellence.

As an Engineer at JB&B, you'll work on a wide variety of projects across sectors, collaborate with senior engineers and partners, and gain hands-on experience while delivering meaningful client solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field by Summer 2026.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
• Interest in building systems, sustainability, and innovative design.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks on fit-out, base building, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans.
• Assist in planning and coordination of major distribution systems, equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers.
• Review shop drawings and perform site visits and punch lists under senior supervision.
• Design HVAC systems including distribution, recirculation, and exhaust.
• Design plumbing systems including water, gas, and waste distribution.
• Work on facility utilities such as chilled water, heating water, steam, and condensate.
• Lay out sprinkler systems and perform basic calculations for pipe sizing, design densities, and pump horsepower.
