Job summary

General Motors is seeking experienced Engineering Designers to support the design and virtual integration of automotive systems. You will create high-quality Siemens NX math models and conduct part-to-vehicle integration and clearance studies, aligning with GM’s Global Vehicle Development Process.

This hybrid role requires 2–5 years CAD/engineering design experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and strong collaboration skills to work across design and engineering teams at the Warren Tech

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of CAD/engineering design experience (automotive or mechanical systems).
• Proficiency in Siemens NX and parametric modeling.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support designers with design tasks and virtual integration activities.
• Develop criteria and sections for components or systems.
• Ensure compliance with design standards and GVDP requirements.
• Apply DFA and integration principles to part designs.
• Participate in design and virtual reviews.
• Document material specifications and mass data in math files.
• Perform NX analyses with guidance from leads.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technical teams.
• Create math models or virtual layouts of complex components.
• Communicate project status and issues to management.
