Job summary

MBK Real Estate is seeking a Director of Asset Management – Multifamily Development to own asset performance across stabilized communities, lease-ups, and newly delivered developments in the Irvine portfolio. You will drive revenue growth, occupancy, NOI, and long-term value creation while leading third‑party property managers and collaborating with senior leadership and lenders.

The role requires strong financial modeling, market analysis, and a hands-on operating mindset to translate ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive multifamily real estate experience.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis required.

Responsibilities

• Own asset performance across stabilized communities, lease-ups, and newly delivered developments; responsibility for revenue growth, occupancy, NOI, and long-term value creation.
• Translate ownership objectives into clear operating plans, measurable targets, and disciplined execution with third-party property management teams.
• Lead recurring performance reviews to evaluate leasing velocity, pricing, concessions, renewals, delinquency, expenses, and marketing effectiveness.
• Develop and implement asset business plans that improve revenue, reduce controllable expenses, strengthen resident retention, and increase asset value.
• Oversee lease-up strategy for newly delivered communities, including pricing, concessions, and marketing, with strong operational start-up.
• Analyze operating statements, rent rolls, market surveys, and KPIs to identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
