Job summary

PSERS is hiring a Digital Accessibility Specialist in Harrisburg, Hybrid. The role focuses on evaluating, testing, remediating, and creating accessible digital content to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.

The position is full-time through 6/30/2026, with potential extension based on need and performance. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accessibility testing experience, familiarity with WCAG/508, and proficiency with assistive tech and automated testing tools.

Qualifications

Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion.
Knowledge of usability principles and user-centered design.
Understanding of WCAG and Section 508 Standards.
Ability to test using accessibility evaluation tools for mobile and non-mobile platforms.
Experience with assistive technologies (JAWS, VoiceOver, etc.) and color contrast analyzers.
Ability to self-direct creation of test plans with documentation of test strategies, results and remediation recommendations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Adept at liaising with multiple stakeholders.
Effective verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and remediate digital documents (forms, PDFs, etc.) to meet guidelines and standards.
Conduct manual and automated accessibility tests to verify compliance.
Apply testing methodologies including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing.
Utilize automated testing tools and assistive technologies; document results clearly.
Track and document testing/remediation processes and outcomes.
Performs related work as required.
