Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is hiring a Clinical Dietitian to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, collaborating with the care team to improve outcomes.

The role involves nutrition assessments, developing care plans, educating patients and families, applying evidence-based practice, and supporting staff development. The schedule is Mon-Fri with 1/2 day on-site and 1/2 day remote in Shelbyville, TN.

Qualifications

• RDN or CDR eligibility required or soon eligible.
• Licensed Dietitian in the practicing state, as applicable.
• Specialty certification when required by the role.
• Two years of work experience in the specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients.
• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop care plans.
• Educate patients, families, staff on nutrition and wellness.
• Apply evidence-based practice aligned with policies and protocols.
• Support quality initiatives and collaborate with care teams.
• mentor staff and dietetic interns as applicable.

Job Summary

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

What You’ll Do

• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Specialty certification when required
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred
