Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a Software DevOps Engineer to join the Warfare Systems team. The role focuses on modernizing legacy software into a microservices stack and enabling cloud-native and edge deployments.

You will streamline CI/CD, enforce security, and help build a repeatable Software Factory across connected and air-gapped environments for Navy platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of full-time professional software development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with containerization (Podman) and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of IaC principles (Terraform, Ansible).
• Basic scripting in Python and Bash; Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins.
• Integrate automated security controls within pipelines (SAST, SCA, SBOM, secrets).
• Develop and maintain Software Factory tooling (GitLab, artifacts, scanners, CI/CD infra).
• Create and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads with Podman and Kubernetes.
• Support DevSecOps in air-gapped environments and ensure compliance with RMF/NIST standards.
