Job summary

Onward Energy is seeking a Development Project Manager to lead utility-scale project development across renewable and thermal portfolios. Based in Charlotte, NC or Denver, CO, you will manage schedules and budgets, coordinate with external contractors, and drive permitting, interconnection, land rights and offtake activities.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of energy development experience, a Bachelor's in a relevant field, and PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Business, Economics, Environmental Studies or Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in project development in energy.
• PMP or other PM certification is a plus.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Thermal generation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets in collaboration with team members and external contractors.
• Advance environmental and land use permitting, interconnection, land rights, stakeholder engagement, and offtake activities.
• Develop strategic relationships with load serving entities, contractors, regulatory bodies, local communities, equipment suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Support cross-functional teams including M&A origination, environmental engineering and operations, including marketing materials and bid submission packages for participation in competitive offtake solicitations.
• Stay informed on industry trends impacting energy development opportunities, including interconnection processes, environmental and land use permitting, tax incentives, technology developments, market structuring and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
