Wheelchair Foundation seeks a Director of Development to own the organization’s fundraising strategy, reporting to the Executive Director and President, leading all aspects of fundraising while shaping a strategic vision to grow reach and impact. You’ll energize a dedicated team, cultivate donor relationships, and support long-term financial health of a mission that transforms lives globally.

This full-time, hybrid role is based in Danville, CA, providing an opportunity to lead fundraising

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Proven ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Expertise in foundation and major donor fundraising, including direct donor engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including grant writing and reporting.
• Strong leadership, presentation, and donor cultivation skills.
• Proficient in data analysis with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead donor cultivation efforts and manage events to ensure financial sustainability.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and manage logistics and sponsorships.
• Identify and cultivate corporate partnerships for funding opportunities.
• Analyze fundraising metrics to guide strategy and campaigns.
• Oversee Annual Fundraising, including appeals and electronic campaigns.
• Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and communications for impact maximizing.
