Job summary

Boston Scientific in Maple Grove, MN seeks a Data Science Co-op for Spring or Summer 2027 to support cross-functional teams with data-driven insights to improve product quality, process efficiency and business decisions. You will gain hands-on experience with large datasets, predictive models, and data pipelines in a medical device context.

You will collaborate on automation of analytics pipelines, build dashboards, and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders while aligning with eligibility

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics/Statistics.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment-based work authorization.
• Commit to an 8-month co-op program period starting January 2027 or May 2027 with in-office presence four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess experimental and production process data for analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-value use cases for generative AI in process development.
• Explore applications of large language models (LLMs) and develop prompt engineering strategies.
• Apply statistical methods and ML techniques to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
• Develop predictive models and dashboards to support decision-making in process development.
• Document data workflows, models, and analysis results clearly and reproducibly.
• Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to automation of data analysis pipelines and tool integration.
