The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) seeks a Data Interface Analyst in Sacramento to design, develop, implement, monitor, and support electronic data interfaces for secure, compliant health information exchange across EHRs, laboratories, and health systems.

You will gather requirements, create interface specs, and manage data mappings, transformations, and validation, applying HL7 v2.x, FHIR, X12, CDA, and CCD standards; you will participate in incident management and governance to

Qualifications

Experience designing data interfaces between EHRs and health systems with mappings and validation.
Strong knowledge of interoperability standards: HL7 v2.x, FHIR, X12, CDA, CCD.
Experience in incident management and root cause analysis of data exchange issues.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, monitor, and support electronic data interfaces for secure, compliant exchange of clinical, operational, and public health information.
Collaborate with clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders to gather requirements, create interface specifications, and develop data mappings.
Lead governance activities by maintaining interface inventories, specifications, and workflow documentation; ensure data security and regulatory compliance.
Support lifecycle of interface development including testing, deployment, and performance monitoring; contribute to security and privacy initiatives.
Assist in planning and implementing interoperability projects to enhance data exchange across partners.
