Dow Jones is seeking a data engineer to support our Energy data platform. You will build and maintain ELT pipelines, design data models, and collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams. The role emphasizes end-to-end feature ownership from design to deployment and production support.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of data/ software engineering experience, strong SQL, Python, and familiarity with Airflow and dbt. Hybrid work model and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ relevant experience in data engineering, software engineering, or database development.
• Strong SQL skills in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with Python for data processing, automation, or scripting.
• Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, or comparable orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ELT pipelines in dbt and Snowflake using Airflow.
• Design data models that integrate multiple sources for downstream use.
• Contribute to CI/CD, testing, observability, and data-quality checks.
• Provide production support and on-call rotation.
