Job summary

Tuppl is seeking a hands-on Data Architect to own architecture, modeling, performance optimization, and governance of all data systems. The role focuses on AWS, Databricks, multi-tenant design, and real-time streaming, with 2–4+ years of Databricks experience and AI tooling usage mandatory.

The candidate will set standards, lead data platform initiatives, and work with offshore resources to deliver scalable, well-governed data ecosystems. Hybrid Atlanta-area role with on-site and WFH days.

Qualifications

• Databricks experience required with 2-4+ years preferred.
• Deep AWS data ecosystem experience with structured, unstructured, relational and NoSQL data.
• Database expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Strong data modeling skills and ability to produce ER diagrams.
• Experience with multi-tenant architectures and workload management.
• Experience with OLTP and OLAP systems, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Experience with CDC, data streaming, and queuing systems (Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar).
• Experience designing data pipelines for AI/ML workloads and integration with AI platforms (e.g., SageMaker, Databricks ML).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and optimize enterprise data solutions across AWS environments.
• Design logical and physical data models including ER diagrams and multi-tenant schemas.
• Lead performance tuning for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Define OLTP/OLAP architectures and data warehousing patterns.
• Build and support real-time data streaming solutions (CDC, Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar).
• Enable near real-time delivery of data changes to customers' data lakes.
• Architect and grow modern data lake environments, leveraging Databricks as the platform.
• Collaborate with engineering and offshore resources to deliver scalable, governed data systems.
• Establish standards and patterns for enterprise data management.
• (Preferred) Build or enhance data platforms supporting AI/ML workloads.
