Job summary

Dexian seeks a Data Analyst for a contract role in Tallahassee, FL (hybrid). The candidate will work with the Department to monitor, optimize, and expand data processing workflows and ETL routines, using SQL-based tools and dashboards to support reporting and operations.

The role involves designing T-SQL objects, generating ad-hoc outputs, and coordinating requirements with business users, while ensuring accuracy and alignment with user-defined needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years collecting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
• Minimum of five years reviewing data outputs, identifying trends, and delivering clear insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to prepare concise reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize data processing workflows, including SQL-based processes and ETL routines.
• Design and submit new data integration workflows and analytical components using SQL, ETL tools, and dashboards.
• Develop and implement database objects in T-SQL (tables, views, procedures, functions) for reporting and analytics.
• Generate ad-hoc queries, datasets, reports, dashboards from MSSQL or other designated systems.
• Coordinate with Department staff to ensure data requirements are collected and validated.
• Test and validate analytical outputs and data transformations to meet requirements and support UAT.
• Maintain documentation for data transformations and workflows in the designated repository.
• Prepare regular status reports on progress, risks, deliverables, and issues.
