First Merchants Bank is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for a hybrid role with two in-office days at the Daleville Data Center in Daleville, Indiana. You will protect assets by enforcing access controls and delivering core security improvements alongside IT/IS, including firewall management and vulnerability remediation.

You will review technologies, perform risk assessments, configure firewalls, ensure industry compliance, and contribute to cybersecurity operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 2 years of experience in data security in a medium to large LAN/WAN environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science is a plus; 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Technical certifications (MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor and implement corporate network firewall systems.
• Recommend enhancements based on industry best practices.
• Manage projects from planning to execution.
• Conduct infrastructure and application risk assessments to gauge security posture.
• Review technologies with IT on network security, logs, routers, switches, and security resources.
• Configure and maintain network firewalls with IT.
• Ensure equipment complies with standards.
• Implement and monitor network security and performance.
• Collaborate with IT on cybersecurity improvements across systems.
• Perform attestation, control and performance procedures as needed.
• Analyze controls and logs to identify issues and report to management.
• Participate in the Cybersecurity Operations on-call program.
