Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Threat Specialist in Concord, CA. The role is hybrid with three days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and two days work-from-home, and a 6-month engagement.

You will monitor security events, perform malware analyses, and support incident response and threat intel activities. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field preferred, and IT information security

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
• IT information security certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily cybersecurity activity in shifts and flags malignant activity.
• Provides malware analysis and escalates to incident response teams.
• Performs baseline threat hunting using intelligence sources.
• Investigates phishing cases and reports potential compromises.
• Performs forensic analysis using security tools to identify the source of events.
• Assists in internal and external basic research.
