Job summary

Holtec in the United States seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the cybersecurity program. You will perform assessments of digital systems and engineering design documentation, and help integrate cybersecurity requirements into engineering and project activities.

The role collaborates with engineering disciplines, vendors, and stakeholders to promote secure system design, regulatory compliance, and robust cybersecurity documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Up to 2 years of cybersecurity/IT/engineering experience is acceptable.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, OS, and system architectures.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISA/IEC 62443 or similar standards.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity assessments of engineering design documentation, digital systems, and related technical documentation to identify cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, threat vectors, and appropriate security controls.
• Support the integration of cybersecurity requirements and security controls into system design, engineering, and project activities.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity procedures, technical reports, assessments, and program documentation.
• Evaluate engineering designs and technical documentation for compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Research cybersecurity technologies, emerging threats, and evolving industry guidance to support program objectives.
• Maintain cybersecurity documentation and records in accordance with established configuration management and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate with engineering organizations, vendors, and project stakeholders to support cybersecurity program activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
