Job summary

Bala Consulting Engineers in Boston seeks a Commissioning Project Manager (CxPM) with mechanical/controls expertise to lead testing, commissioning and QA/QC activities on data centers, offices and healthcare projects.

You will manage scope, staffing and client interfaces, write test scripts and reports, and travel to project sites nationwide as needed. A 5–7 year background in commissioning or related fields is preferred, with PE/CEM/CBCP/BCxP certifications welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant field required.
• PE/CEM/CBCP/BCxP certifications preferred.
• Data center experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects and people.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of mechanical/controls commissioning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a project manager on select projects in the Cx Group.
• Review RFPs, attend pre-bid walkthroughs, write proposals, test scripts, and reports.
• Plan work, execute, and manage internal teams and clients.
• Provide management functions including scope, client management, scheduling, and financials.
• Assist other CxPMs across locations.
• As Boston-based, spend majority of time locally; travel to other Bala offices and sites as needed.
