Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit Risk – BSC (Hybrid) to manage credit risk within designated regions, including wholesale power and gas activities and retail credit issues. The role requires deep knowledge of physical and financial energy products and close collaboration with accounting, treasury, and risk teams.

You will assess counterparty creditworthiness, monitor exposures, and support senior leadership with risk-based recommendations.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
• 4-7 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced understanding of Mark to Market calculations and valuations of forward contract positions.
• In-depth knowledge of credit and risk management fundamentals.
• Thorough understanding of financial and wholesale energy trading markets.
• Ability to evaluate creditworthiness and communicate results clearly.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Strong computer and spreadsheet modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze the credit worthiness of customers and trading counterparties, and monitor current and potential exposures.
• Recommend credit terms and conditions within customer and wholesale commodity contracts.
• Coordinate with margining and treasury teams on collateral and with Receivables for timely collection.
• Assist on presentations to Senior Management with credit decisions and risk highlights.
• Manage credit relationships with assigned counterparties and regional operators; lead analytical support.
• Lead the coordination and improvement of Credit Risk reporting systems.
