Job summary

Zekelman Industries, a leading manufacturer, seeks an Associate Cost Accountant to support accurate product costing, inventory management, and financial reporting for Warren, OH and Wheatland, PA facilities. Hybrid work with four in-office days and one remote day.

You will collaborate with the Director of Accounting and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, variance analysis, and compliance with accounting standards. This role offers growth in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide management with detailed cost data by analyzing production information.
• Review daily shift reports and work order confirmations for accuracy.
• Ensure FIFO inventory costs by performing audits and overhead calculations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual production and variance reports.
• Assist auditors during inventory counts and provide requested information.
• Post treasury entries and payroll GL postings.
• Support intercompany accounting for cross-charges.
• Assist with bank and collateral audits.
