Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a driven Analyst to join the North America FX Sales & Marketing desk. You will support marketing efforts, hedge product education, and client engagement while assisting in trade processes for corporate clients. The role offers a hybrid work model with opportunities across North America and LATAM markets.

You will develop expertise in FX derivatives, work closely with senior teams, and contribute to risk management and client solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years in sales, trading, corporate treasury, investment banking, or similar.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Familiarity with Python or VBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create marketing materials on FX markets and hedging strategies; automate data analysis and visualization.
• Develop expertise in macro products, focusing on FX derivatives.
• Assist senior salespeople in developing and pitching trade ideas.
• Assist with trade execution, including pricing and booking.
• Handle client inquiries and maintain coverage when senior marketers travel.
• Summarize daily desk activity and prepare monthly reports.
