Job summary

Provident, a Dallas-based real estate development firm, seeks a Corporate Controller to lead the corporate accounting function in a hybrid role (3 days in-office/2 days remote). You will oversee month-end close, consolidated reporting, budgeting, tax packages, and treasury activities while building a high-performing team guiding platform data and investor reporting.

The role reports to the EVP, Accounting and requires a CPA, 10+ years of accounting experience including leadership in real estate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in controller or senior leadership roles, ideally in real estate development.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting skills for executive leadership, ownership and investors.
• Experience building and motivating an accounting team.
• Knowledge of real estate development accounting and capital structures is a plus.
• Experience leading external audits and investor reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the corporate accounting team and close processes.
• Oversee consolidated financial reporting for corporate entities.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Oversee treasury and cash management activities.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain internal controls.
• Prepare and review tax packages for corporate entities.
• Partner with executive leadership on platform reporting and investments.
• Identify process improvements and implement policies.
