Job summary

BMG, an award-winning thermoforming packaging/automation solutions leader, seeks a Controls Engineer in Beaverton, MI with hybrid work after training. You will design, program, troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, and modify electrical designs for standard and new equipment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in electrical engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience, knowledge of PLC/HMI and motion control programs, and strong technical communication skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, and motion control programs.
• Strong written and oral technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical panel layouts and electrical CAD schematics.
• Develop machine logic in PLC, HMI, and servo motion controls.
• Attend design reviews and prepare BOMs.
• Start-up, debug, and field support post-installation.
• Ensure documentation of designs and ECO updates.
