Job summary

Teck Resources Limited is seeking a Contracts Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of contracts for the Pend Oreille Mine and legacy properties. You will develop strategies, lead RFPs, negotiate terms, and ensure compliant execution across US/Canada operations.

You will collaborate with Lands and Legal, Site Closure teams, and corporate services to protect Teck’s interests while facilitating safe, efficient project delivery and closure activities.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education is required.
• 8+ years of contract management experience in EPC/EPCM or mining.
• Demonstrated experience managing full contract lifecycle activities.
• Strong negotiation, issue resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound knowledge of legal and commercial contract terms.
• Experience across operations, projects, and closure activities.
• Experience with various contract types, models, and commercial strategies.
• Proficient in MS Office and contract management systems (e.g., SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader by adhering to safety rules and procedures.
• Develop contract strategies and plans for site managers and teams.
• Plan, prepare, and administer RFP documentation and schedules.
• Analyze proposals, negotiate terms, and recommend awards.
• Conform, execute, and award resulting contracts; maintain records.
• Administer post‑award activities, including invoices and payments.
• Manage changes, disputes, and contract closeout per requirements.
• Provide guidance on risk, options, and implications across lifecycle.
• Oversee EPCM firms and service providers’ contract execution.
• Prepare contract management reports for management.
