Job summary

Vysystems is seeking an experienced iOS Developer for a contract role in Charlotte, NC or California (Hybrid). You will design, build, and maintain native iOS apps using Swift and Objective-C, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams.

The role requires 5+ years of mobile development experience, strong iOS framework knowledge, and experience with REST APIs and CI/CD. The position supports hybrid work arrangements and requires local C2C availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional mobile software development experience focusing on native iOS applications.
• Deep technical proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, and core iOS frameworks (CoreData, CoreLocation, UIKit, SwiftUI).
• Proven practical experience integrating RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and web services into iOS apps.
• Solid working knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns (MVVM, VIPER), and reactive programming (Combine/RxSwift).
• Experience with Git version control, CI/CD mobile build pipelines, and App Store deployment procedures.
• Outstanding analytical problem-solving, debugging, and cross-functional communication capabilities.
• Mandatory residency/work authorization: Open to local C2C (Corp-to-Corp) candidates in Charlotte, NC or California.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain advanced native iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend teams to ship new features.
• Ensure performance, quality, and security of mobile apps across iOS devices.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks, memory leaks, and performance issues with debugging tools.
• Maintain code quality standards, peer reviews, and automated testing (XCTest).
• Integrate apps with robust RESTful APIs and cloud backends.
• Implement secure data storage and authentication per company policies.
• Participate in agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and release cycles.
• Stay updated with iOS platform releases and guidelines.
• Prepare technical docs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
