Job summary

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of on-site construction management experience, with high-rise or complex institutional projects preferred; hybrid work with travel to the Chicago Loop is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or closely related field.
• 8+ years of experience as Owner's Representative/Construction Manager/PM/Contractor.
• Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or greater.
• Strong field construction management with on-site oversight.
• Experience with federal, state, local government, hospitals, universities, or similar clients.
• Experience reviewing design submittals, cost estimates, schedules, and docs.
• Experience with cost verification, project finances, and change orders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; able to facilitate meetings.
• Proficient with MS Office and project software (Excel, Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Kahua).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Owner's Representative and Construction Manager on multiple occupied renovation and capital projects.
• Manage projects through planning, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Provide on-site management for MEP (HVAC and Controls), lighting upgrades, and interior renovations.
• Monitor activities for contract, code, and safety compliance.
• Lead QA efforts and coordinate schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Review design documents, submittals, schedules, costs, and change orders.
• Prepare and maintain meeting agendas, minutes, and status reports.
• Serve as liaison between clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support project financial management through cost verification and negotiations.
