Job summary

Texas CASA in Austin, TX seeks a Communications Intern to support social media and digital communications, content creation, storytelling, and media initiatives. You will help develop calendars, craft engaging content, and assist with newsletters and campaigns.

The role requires strong writing, editing, and collaboration across departments. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the primary office in Austin and weekly onsite presence as needed, plus opportunities to gain experience

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, public affairs, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated writing/editing/communications experience through academics, internships, or volunteer work.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining Texas CASA’s social media presence: content development, scheduling, posting, community engagement.
• Support development of social media content calendars and newsletters/email campaigns.
• Create graphics/content using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite; organize photography and video assets.
• Research trends and opportunities to elevate Texas CASA’s network impact.
• Provide communications support to departments and staff; assist with campaigns, events, and training materials.
