Job summary

Steiner Electric is seeking a Commodity Project Specialist to drive the commodities product group in a hybrid work environment. You will collaborate with the Commodity Manager and cross-functional teams on quotes, sourcing, and project management to meet Steiner’s goals.

You will monitor quote requests, support order entry for project business, coordinate pricing submissions, and lead supplier relations. ERP pricing loads and market insight will guide decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience, or 5-7 years in electrical distribution.
• Strong electrical product knowledge, preferably pipe/wire.
• Fast-paced quoting environment handling high-volume pricing requests.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and coordinate with key stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft programs and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and catalog Commodity Quote Requests as main pricing contact.
• Support project-entry for commodity items and coordinate between teams.
• Lead large commodity projects, managing product releases to schedule.
• Coordinate and lead update meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist pricing submissions for awarded projects and maintain pricing contracts.
• Load weekly commodity pricing into the ERP system.
• Attend weekly commodity calls and provide market insights and trends.
• Support KPI tracking and supplier relationship development.
• Coordinate local sourcing and inventory management for stock and project needs.
