Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer / Full Stack Developer to design, build, and sustain secure web-based knowledge repositories across client domains. You’ll work with teams across operations, development, product, and design, delivering data pipelines, APIs, and backend services on AWS and OpenShift while ensuring security, performance, and data quality.

St. Louis area experience is considered; strong collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have TS/SCI and be willing to submit to a government CI polygraph.
  • Optimize application services, database queries, data workflows, and deployment configurations to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to design, data flows, APIs, system configurations, deployment processes, and procedures.
  • Support system security coordination, including secure development practices and access controls.
  • Ability to work after-hours for deployments, migrations, and maintenance windows.
  • Knowledge of AWS and OpenShift environments for deployment and data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform root cause analysis for system, application, data pipeline, and end-user issues.
  • Analyze performance and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist Tier 2 teams with resolving complex issues across systems and data.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, APIs, and backend services for reliable data access.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and quality activities across AWS/OpenShift environments.
  • Monitor health and reliability of systems, apps, databases, and pipelines.
