Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned Hybrid Cloud Architect to design cross-cloud strategies and reference architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI for multi-cloud enterprises.

The role emphasizes portability, federation, and secure cross-cloud delivery, with leadership in FinOps and DR/BC planning. 8+ years of cloud architecture experience required, remote W2 engagement, and strict no third-party arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Eight+ years of experience in cloud architecture roles.
• Hands-on architecture across at least two major cloud providers.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security across providers.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code across clouds.
• Experience designing federated identity and SSO across cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and guardrails across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Design federated identity, SSO, and cross-cloud authorization patterns with least-privilege and auditable access.
• Architect cross-cloud networking including transit hubs and private connectivity.
• Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns that abstract cloud specifics.
• Define container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies for consistency across providers.
• Design data architecture for cross-cloud data movement, residency, and analytics.
• Lead multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and policy enforcement.
• Establish FinOps practices across providers.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies across clouds.
• Collaborate with security on multi-cloud models and KMS strategies.
• Provide guidance on cloud-agnostic vs cloud-native patterns.
• Produce architecture artifacts and decision records for long-term clarity.
• Engage with providers to evaluate roadmap alignment and translate advances into proposals.

This role is part of Bright Vision Technologies' in-house Statement of Work (SOW) engagement. The client, end customer, and employer for this position is Bright Vision Technologies — there is no third-party client, vendor, or implementation partner involved.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Hybrid Cloud Architect to design strategies, reference architectures, and platform capabilities that span multiple cloud providers - AWS, Azure, GCP, and selectively OCI - for enterprises operating on more than one cloud by deliberate choice. The role focuses on portability, abstraction layers, federated identity, cross-cloud networking, and platform offerings that hide cloud-specific complexity from product teams. The ideal candidate has architected meaningful multi-cloud capabilities, understands the trade-offs between portability and cloud-native depth, and brings strong opinions grounded in production experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guardrails across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI as relevant.
• Design federated identity, SSO, and cross-cloud authorization patterns that let workloads and engineers move between providers without compromising on least-privilege, auditability, or operational simplicity.
• Architect cross-cloud networking including transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust patterns.
• Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns that abstract cloud-specific implementations where appropriate.
• Define container, Kubernetes, and serverless strategies that work consistently across providers.
• Design data architecture strategies for cross-cloud data movement, residency, and analytics.
• Drive multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and unified policy enforcement, designing approaches that work consistently across providers and avoid the complexity of fragmented per-cloud tooling stacks.
• Establish FinOps practices that operate consistently across multiple cloud providers.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies that span clouds.
• Partner with security architects on multi-cloud security models, KMS strategies, and key management.
• Provide guidance to engineering teams on when to use cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native patterns.
• Produce high-quality architecture artifacts - context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs - that capture key technical decisions clearly enough to be understood months or years later.
• Engage with cloud providers and partners to evaluate roadmap alignment.
• Stay current with multi-cloud platform and tooling developments, regularly review release notes and community discussions, and translate noteworthy advances into concrete recommendations and adoption proposals for the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Eight or more years of experience in cloud architecture roles.
