Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Claims Assistant to support the claims staff in the set-up and administration of workers’ compensation claims and related tasks for specific customer needs. This is a hybrid position reporting to Dallas, TX.

You will set up new claims, process mail, input diary entries, and assist with payments, form letters, and state forms. You will aid claims examiners with calls and handle additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 months service-oriented office experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• PC literate; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up new claims.
• Process mail, manage files, input notes/diary entries in claims system.
• Process payments as needed.
• Process form letters, state forms and reports.
• Assist claims examiners with calls to providers, claimants and customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
