Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a higher education institution with coursework related to child welfare social casework.
• One year of professional human services casework experience.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations of alleged child abuse and neglect.
• Assess and evaluate child safety and family strengths and needs.
• Counsel and support children and families to create safe environments.
• Determine if children should be placed outside the home and monitor foster care placement.
• Prepare legal documents and testify in court.
• Complete required documentation and compliance activities.
• Perform related work as required.
• May be reassigned in emergency situations.
