Job summary

Medical Associates Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Coder to join our Business Office team. Hybrid work: 4 days at home, 1 day in the office, with a schedule Monday–Friday. The role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and processing claims using the software to maximize payment accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements include 3–5 years of experience, a two-year degree, and certification within one year (RHIT/RHIA/CPC/CCA/CCS). Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding is essential.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Formal medical coding training background required.
• Certification within one year of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and process claims and software for accurate payments.
• Review denied claims, file appeals, and create edits to reduce denials.
• Assist staff with correct coding and billing procedures.
• Handle system claims scrubber errors and ensure efficient workflow.
• Complete additional projects as assigned.
