Job summary

FORJAK Industrial in Ohio is seeking a CDL Class A Driver & Material Handler to deliver and pick up blast plant materials and to assist with on-site material movement at our blast plant. The role blends driving with hands-on material handling and requires strict adherence to safety and DOT rules.

You will operate a tractor-trailer, secure loads, and coordinate escorted movements while staying compliant with FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A with active auto insurance.
• Minimum 12 months interstate tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass DOT physical.
• Strong load securement knowledge for a variety of freight.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid driving/material handling role.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A tractor-trailer for deliveries and pickups.
• Load and secure freight onto the truck using proper load securement techniques.
• Transport oversized loads up to 53' with compliance to regulations.
• Coordinate escorted oversized load movements with escorts and authorities.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DOT documentation.
• On-site material handling with cranes, forklifts, and telehandlers.
• Support plant team with staging and movement of materials.
• Adhere to all safety policies and company procedures.
