Confidential Employer in the Detroit area is seeking an experienced Client Accounting Services Supervisor. The role leads the CAS team, oversees month-end close, and provides fractional CFO/Controller advisory services to dedicated clients.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities, and strong leadership and communication skills. Hybrid work model with collaboration across departments is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, incl. 2+ years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Leadership, interpersonal and team-development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close and year-end close, including reconciliations and financial statement prep.
• Review team bookkeeping and financial statements, provide coaching.
• Collaborate with tax and audit teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Deliver fractional CFO/Controller advisory services as needed.
• Lead monthly/quarterly client advisory meetings.
• Assist with budgets, forecasting, and analyses for decision-making.
• Support senior management with special projects and initiatives.
• Learn and apply client-specific accounting software/tools.
• Participate in industry segment meetings and firm marketing.
• Mentor CAS team members and lead training initiatives.
• Meet monthly with direct reports to review billable budgets and goals.
