Job summary

PHEAA is a nonprofit student aid organization in Harrisburg seeking Call Center Representatives for the State Grants and Special Programs team. The role is hybrid and long-term, with a 3-week training program and a schedule Monday–Friday.

Onsite 2 days a week; salary starts at $16.00/hour with a planned increase after 6 months. Responsibilities include answering calls, researching issues, advising on eligibility, and handling customer documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must complete 3-week training with no time off.
• Ability to multi-task and perform in-depth research while assisting customers.
• Two years' experience in an administrative or call center role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and resolve various complex account issues.
• Identify root cause, research, and resolve customer inquiries on first contact.
• Assist customers with troubleshooting online account issues and using online tools.
• Update customer and account information as needed.
• Process correspondence, student emails, forms, or other documents.
• Counsel customers on program eligibility criteria and required documentation.
• Assist with resolution of escalated callers.
• Work with one or multiple customer support lines.
