Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Conservation Ranching Manager to lead the Conservation Ranching (ACR) program in California. Reporting to the California Conservation Ranching Program Director, you will guide strategic planning, fundraising, partnerships, and staff; enroll ranchers, develop Habitat Management Plans, and connect certified ranches to markets through Audubon’s Bird Friendly seal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in range management, ecology, natural resources management, wildlife management, regenerative agriculture or related field.
  • At least five years of experience with project development/coordination, conservation planning or similar work.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to collaborate with partners and manage teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ACR program in California, support vision, strategy, direction and budgeting.
  • Supervise staff and contractors, set objectives and mentor progress.
  • Build partnerships with NRCS, USFWS, districts, agencies and land managers.
