Job summary

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a CAD Operator II in Cincinnati, OH. The role is a 3-year hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office and strong AutoCAD drafting experience.

The ideal candidate will have AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk Inventor familiarity, with preference for utility/substation design knowledge. W2 contract, no PTO or benefits, ACA package available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional drafting experience using AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated proficiency using AutoCAD as a primary job function in a production drafting environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering markups, technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering markups, sketches, and redline revisions and accurately incorporate changes into design drawings.
• Produce detailed construction and engineering drawings that comply with company drafting standards and procedures.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to release.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering technologists, and project teams to resolve drafting and design questions.
• Manage drawing revisions, documentation updates, and file organization within company systems.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Maintain a high level of productivity and attention to detail in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Apply established drafting standards and best practices to ensure consistency across project deliverables.
