Job summary

Silverspace Inc in California is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This hybrid, full‑time position offers exposure to General Liability, Construction Defect, Personal Injury, Insurance defense, Toxic Tort, Asbestos and Silica matters.

The ideal candidate has active California Bar membership, excellent advocacy and communication skills, and the ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of General Liability, Construction Defect, Personal Injury, Insurance defense, Toxic Tort, Asbestos, and Silica litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex liability, construction, and toxic tort issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
• Develop litigation strategies while maintaining regular communication with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials in state and federal courts.
• Assist with all phases of trial preparation, including drafting trial briefs, preparing jury instructions, organizing exhibits, and witness preparation.
• Collaborate with partners, attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Advise clients on litigation risk management, regulatory compliance, and liability prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing records in accordance with firm and client guidelines.
