Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the technical lead on avionics display product designs at our Oak Creek, WI headquarters with a possible hybrid work arrangement. You will guide electrical, mechanical, software, and certification engineers through development, verification, and certification steps.

You will interact with customers, plan schedules and budgets with program management, and report project status to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, computer, electrical, mechanical, systems engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
5+ years of engineering experience in electronics product development.
3+ years of project engineering experience.
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team of electrical, mechanical, software, systems, and certification engineers.
Lead project-level design reviews through development, including planning, architecture, implementation, verification, and certification.
Propose and manage design of new products, improvements, and technology evolutions to align with market needs and roadmaps.
Lead the technical team and work with product strategy in pursuit of new business.
Technical point of contact with Astronautics customers, current and future.
Partner with program management to plan and execute schedules and budgets.
Monitor and communicate project status to management and customers.
