Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a skilled Audit Services professional to design and lead audit validation activities within our Risk and Control Enhancement program. You will collaborate with audit teams, business leaders, and senior stakeholders to interpret risk themes and strengthen control effectiveness.

The role emphasizes leading testing, training the audit team, and delivering timely results across multiple validations in a hybrid work environment. Authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience and a four year degree program is required.
• Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures that relate to auditing/accounting standards and analytical skills are necessary to prepare audits.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop testing approach and ensure the scope of the audit validation activities is comprehensive and adequate.
• Lead walkthroughs, planning meetings.
• Provide training, coaching, and auditing expertise to the audit team.
• Work on several audit validations at a time and ensure work is delivered timely/within budget.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders on testing findings.
• Challenge issues, propose root cause, draft issues and reports (including executive summary).
