Job summary

Brilliant in Chicago is seeking an Audit Manager to lead and manage audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion. You will oversee multiple client engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients.

The role requires an Active CPA, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred), and 5+ years of public accounting experience with progressive audits.

• 5+ years of public accounting experience with progressive audit responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Review financial statements and workpapers for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and build strong long term relationships.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors through coaching and performance feedback.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and provide value added recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development initiatives and client service strategies.
• Assist with engagement budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Support recruiting, training, and team development efforts as needed.
