Job summary

Vince in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Associate Designer for Women’s Hard Wovens. The role oversees end-to-end design processes from concept to production, including fitting, BOM creation, and colorway presentations.

You will collaborate with the Design Director and cross-functional teams, manage market trends, and ensure brand consistency across seasonal deliveries. A strong sketching portfolio and 3+ years of design experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Design.
• Must have contemporary experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have knowledge of fabrication, construction and mills.
• Strong hand sketching and computer sketching skills with understanding of proportion.
• Understanding of contemporary market and competitive set.
• Ability to present category points of view from Merchandising, Sales and market research.
• Experience creating technical packages with sketches and BOM.
• Ability to work within Airtable.
• Proficiency in Adobe, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Strong presentation skills for cross-functional partners.
• Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Research imagery aligned with design direction and create boards.
• Conceptualize and develop brand-right products for all seasonal deliveries.
• Engage in design processes from sketching to production readiness.
• Attend fittings and support Design Director with fit changes.
• Maintain updated BOMs to support production readiness.
• Present CAD layouts including colorways to the team.
• Collaborate with head designer to own styles per collection.
• Maintain seasonal swatch library and inspiration closet.
• Coordinate with PD on design passes to approve details before production.
