Job summary

Target in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Associate Buyer to manage category strategies, vendor relationships and market analysis, with a focus on assortments, pricing and promotional planning. You will collaborate with design, sourcing and merchandising teams to execute item descriptions, markdown updates and weekly category reporting, while supporting product development and financial planning.

This role offers a Hybrid/Flex schedule with onsite days at Target HQ MN and remote work as needed;

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial, strategic and planning skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Performance-driven with initiative and leadership potential.
• Merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute advertising plans and category strategies via item selection, space allocation, pricing and forecasting.
• Watch market trends, evaluate competitors, plan assortments and coordinate promotions.
• Input item descriptions and markdown updates; generate weekly/monthly category reports.
• Support product development and execute the financial plan for categories; manage vendor communications.
