Job summary

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Appraisal Operations Manager in Tomahawk, Wisconsin to lead the appraisal department and support real estate operations. The role sits within our Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate division and reports to senior management.

You will manage a team, drive budgeting, client communications, and project oversight while delivering timely appraisals and building strong client relationships in our remote-friendly hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in Appraisal Operations or similar role.
• Experience in client relationship management.
• Current valid driver’s license and personal vehicle suitable for field use.
• Strong grasp of financial analysis, valuation approaches, and complex property value calculations.
• Certified General Appraiser status now or within designated time.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of professionals with daily oversight, work planning, and meetings.
• Lead weekly team meetings and monthly department strategy sessions.
• Performance management of direct reports; employee engagement and team building.
• Oversee budget, client communications, and strategic execution of the Appraisal Department.
