Job summary

Zebra Technologies Corporation in Holtsville, NY is seeking an undergraduate intern to join the System Test team. You will design and build a prototype AI Test Case-to-Automation Validation Assistant and assess test cases against automation scripts under guidance.

This hybrid internship (3 days in the office) offers hands-on experience with Polarion, QA tooling, and exposure to AI-enabled software quality, with mentorship, social activities, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Coursework or project experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with software testing, test automation, or debugging.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts or prompts.
• Understanding of requirements, test cases and traceability.
• Familiarity with Git or source control.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a prototype AI Test Case-to-Automation Validation Assistant.
• Use provided Polarion test cases and automation scripts to define the comparison approach.
• Extract test purpose, preconditions, steps and expected results from each test case.
• Compare items with automation scripts and flag gaps for engineer review.
• Create a report linking test cases to scripts and summarizing findings.
• Test and refine the prototype with engineer feedback and document assumptions.
