Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure, scalable AI solutions aligned with DES mission.
• Define end-to-end AI architectures including data ingestion, RAG pipelines, LLM orchestration.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural documentation for approvals.
• Ensure compliance with State of Arizona security, privacy, accessibility and data governance.
• Establish reference architectures and best practices for responsible AI use across DES.
• Evaluate and integrate AI platforms, cloud services and vendor solutions.
• Design architectures that support explainability, auditability, bias mitigation and transparency.
• Collaborate with DevOps, cybersecurity and data teams to operationalize AI from PoC to production.
• Support AI strategy, roadmap development and executive briefings to scale AI capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
